About Your New Job

  • Spearhead the construction of multiple utility-scale solar PV, Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS), and hybrid PV/BESS projects, ensuring strict adherence to project timelines, budgets, and quality benchmarks.
  • Provide leadership and mentorship to a team of Project Managers, offering strategic guidance to drive project success and team development.
  • Oversee the preparation, management, and reporting of critical construction milestones, budgets, cash flows, and project schedules.
  • Foster and maintain strong relationships with internal Construction Management teams, external contractors, consultants, suppliers, and key stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Implement proactive risk management strategies, identifying and resolving potential issues before they impact project schedules or budgets. Manage and report on any deviations from established project parameters.
  • Contribute to the negotiation of efficient and cost-effective contracts for project delivery, leveraging industry expertise and market knowledge.

What Skills You Need

  • Minimum 8 years' experience in renewable energy project management, with specific expertise in the UK or Irish markets.
  • Demonstrated success in managing the construction of utility-scale solar PV and BESS projects.
  • Proven ability to simultaneously manage multiple complex projects with demanding deadlines.
  • In-depth knowledge of FIDIC construction contracts and their administration in renewable energy projects.
  • Comprehensive understanding of Construction and Health & Safety regulations applicable to the UK and Irish renewable energy sector.
  • Strong technical proficiency in AC and DC electrical design for solar PV plants, energy storage systems, and grid connection methodologies.
  • Valid driver's license for both UK and Ireland.
