Graduate - AI Engineer

The programme

This is a unique 18-month experience where we offer you a permanent position along with a specific programme with rotations in different teams to build your expertise and professional skills.

Based on a permanent contract, our graduate programme includes on- and off-the-job components, placing the emphasis on teamwork but also exploring your skill sets, furthering your development and setting specific objectives.

Your team

The Technology & Operations (Tech&Ops) division is responsible for some of Pictet Group’s key innovations, while ensuring the business continuity of operations and the development of custodian and fund administration services.

We are looking for a Graduate to join our newly-created AI Centre of Excellence within Pictet’s Technology & Operations division. You will play a pivotal role in pioneering projects that shape the future of banking by leveraging generative AI technologies such as large language models (LLMs).

This role offers a unique opportunity to develop your professional skills, gain deep insights into cutting-edge AI technologies and contribute to innovative solutions that will have a lasting impact on the financial industry.

Your role

Your journey will consist of various rotations within the Group, enabling you to acquire various skills to position yourself in an optimal fashion the first years of your career at Pictet:

• AI Centre of Excellence (core team): you will familiarise yourself with your environment, activities, strategic projects and the technologies used, including AI model integration and operational efficiency projects.
• Product ownership of a GenAI-based assistant within the Pictet Wealth Management digital platform: you will be responsible for defining product requirements, collaborating with development teams and ensuring the successful deployment of the GenAI-based assistant.
• Delve into machine learning for investment within the PAM Quest AI team: you will work on developing and implementing machine learning models to enhance investment strategies, analyse financial data and provide insights to support decision-making.
  
  

At the end of this journey, you will be able to take on the role of AI Engineer in the AI Centre of Excellence.

Your profile

• Recent Master’s degree in Computer Science, Communication Systems or a related field.
• Maximum two years of experience after graduation working for an international company or in a multicultural environment.
• Experience in machine learning, data science techniques and knowledge of the pandas library.
• Proven track record of at least 12 months working with ChatGPT or equivalent conversational AI platforms.
• Demonstrated ability to work autonomously while fostering teamwork and collaboration.
• Excellent problem-solving skills, critical thinking and meticulous attention to detail.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to liaise effectively with clients and team members alike.
• Fluency in French and English (both written and oral), with other languages beneficial but not required.
• Must be resident in Switzerland or willing to relocate.
