Senior SPL Developer (50% Java work)

• Project Description:

-The OCR/Java Developer is part of Shared Application Services (SAS) which provides robust, scalable solutions within Deutsche Bank and its departments, acting as the bridge between the Bank’s businesses and infrastructure functions to help deliver the efficiency, control, and transformation goals of the Bank.

-You will be joining the smartFIX OCR team, analysing, building and delivering software capabilities related to the bank’s OCR needed demands. You will be in a cross-functional team building the functionality on the OCR platform. Additionally you will also have the chance to work with new Google-related technologies as part of the dbTextract project, where you will use Java and Google DocAI, one of the newest technologies in the OCR area.

• Responsibilities:

•Drive the development of new technology applications in partnership with Business, Architecture, and Operations stakeholders

•Produce well-crafted software that steadily adds value and can be easily adapted to changing customer needs

•Shape the future of our technology stack and apply it innovatively to solve complex problems.

•Lead by example, in software design and programming practice, to raise the entire team's capability

•Actively contribute to resolution of incidents and issues

•Act as a Subject Matter Expert and influence the team on bringing more enhancements in-house

•Build out the existing team to better support BAU and continuous enhancements with new features and functionality

•Work with people in a cross disciplined team, collaborating daily with our business users, functional analysts, engineers and architects

•Build close and constructive partnerships with Business and product stakeholders

•Provide training and guidance to junior members

• Should have a clear sense of ownership and analytical skills

•Adopt engineering mindset of Technology, Data, & Innovation (TDI) and mentor team members effectively,

•Interact with global team leads and collaborate

• Mandatory Skills Description:

•Proven extensive expertise in fullstack development which includes JAVA, Spring boot , ORM, Cloud experienced with GCP , and core principles of modern backend development.

•Significant prior experience with developing adaptable and performant code aligned with good architectural and design principles

• Good knowledge of Spring Framework and SQL

• Should have significant experience in Microservices with REST APIs development.

•Experience on Application Security and designing and developing Authentication and Authorization using Spring Security and OAuth2

•Practical experience with modern DevOps/SRE pipelines and CI/CD tools (Maven, Gradle, Git, Jenkins, TeamCity, GitHub Actions)

•Experience working closely with business managers and stakeholder engagement

• Experience of secure coding principles and security architecture

•Solid experience of TDD or implementing test automation as an essential part of the development process and prior experience working with Agile software methodologies

•Excellent communication skills in written and spoken English;

•Self motivated individual who can have technology and product vision and communicate and articulate it to business stakeholders

• Developer who has proven his tech abilities and can motivate Engineers in the team

•Self-starter, proactive and excellent team player with ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment and always with professionalism. Ability to be open minded, share information, transfer knowledge and expertise to team members
