Backend Developer

About the role

As we continue to experience significant growth, we are looking for a backend developer to join a team working with managed deposits, bank integrations and payments. You will have the opportunity to shape the product as part of a cross-functional team, where your decision making skills and expertise will be highly valued.

You’ll join a team working across two technology platforms: our Java-based system for managed deposits and our PHP platform for property management. The Java platform manages B2B transactions with banking partners through APIs and backend services built on Java 17, Spring Boot, and Dropwizard, with a UI built in Vaadin. This system runs in containerized Linux environment, and is deployed via GitHub workflows and monitored with Prometheus and Grafana. While your primary focus will be on the Java stack, you’ll also contribute to our PHP platform. Strong Java skills are essential, and experience with PHP and the LAMP stack is highly valuable for this collaborative role.

Experience

• 5+ years of professional experience in backend development using Java.
• Expertise in Spring Boot for building robust and scalable microservices.
• Experience in building and maintaining integrations to banking and payment systems is a plus.
• Experience with PHP is a plus.
• Proven experience working in a modern CI/CD pipeline.
• Proven experience in using docker and Linux.
• Solid understanding of RESTful APIs and experience with building and consuming APIs in a microservices environment.
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work in an Agile/Scrum environment.
• Experience in PropTech or FinTech sectors is a plus.
• Fluency in English is required, Swedish is a plus.

Location

Our office is on the top floor in the newly built Sthlm 04, which offers stunning views over Stockholm.
