About The Team

The Disputes Foundations team is dedicated to empowering Stripe users and the Disputes product and integration teams by providing a robust and versatile platform designed to seamlessly integrate with a variety of networks and payment methods. Our primary aim is to enhance operational efficiency and elevate developer productivity by streamlining processes and offering intuitive tools. We focus on delivering precise and dependable information to users, ensuring transparency and informed decision-making at every step of the disputes resolution process. By building a solid and adaptable infrastructure, our team plays a pivotal role in simplifying complex dispute workflows, ultimately fostering a more efficient and harmonious financial ecosystem.

Responsibilities

What you’ll do:

• Scope, design, build, and maintain services and large-scale systems that reliably and efficiently process disputes flows for Stripe users.
• Apply a detail-oriented mindset to dissect information, analyze data, and detect patterns that lead to cost savings
• Debug and solve critical production issues across services and multiple levels of the stack
• Collaborate with stakeholders to build new features at large-scale, while improving internal engineering standards, tooling, and processes
• Collaborate effectively in a distributed and hybrid team, maintaining open communication and strong connections with colleagues
  
  
  

Who you are

Minimum Requirements

• A strong technical background, including 2-5 years of professional software development experience
• Familiarity with the full life cycle of software development, from design and implementation to testing and deployment.
• Empathy, strong communication skills and effective communication with stakeholders
• A learning mindset, regardless of level or experience
• The ability to drive clear next steps when encountering ambiguous spaces without clear lines of ownership
• High standards for code quality and a constructive attitude to help others raise the bar
• An ability to think creatively and holistically about reducing risk in a complex environment

• Experience with large-scale backend systems with focus on reliability

Hybrid work at Stripe

Office-assigned Stripes spend at least 50% of the time in a given month in their local office or with users. This hits a balance between bringing people together for in-person collaboration and learning from each other, while supporting flexibility about how to do this in a way that makes sense for individuals and their teams.

Pay and benefits

The annual salary range for this role in the primary location is S$112,000 - S$168,000. This range may change if you are hired in another location. For sales roles, the range provided is the role’s On Target Earnings (“OTE”) range, meaning that the range includes both the sales commissions/sales bonuses target and annual base salary for the role. This salary range may be inclusive of several career levels at Stripe and will be narrowed during the interview process based on a number of factors, including the candidate’s experience, qualifications, and specific location. Applicants interested in this role and who are not located in the primary location may request the annual salary range for their location during the interview process.
