Data Science and AI Manager - Qatari National

Purpose: This position is responsible to lead the development and implementation of data-driven solutions, leveraging data science & AI to drive business growth, improve operational efficiency, and enhance customer experience in the public transport sector.

Job Summary: The incumbent goal is to develop and lead the execution of data science and AI strategies, collaborating with cross-functional teams to design & implement data-driven solutions that drive business value.

Main Responsibilities & Tasks

• Develop and lead the execution of data science and AI strategies, aligned with business objectives
• Collaborate with stakeholders to identify business problems and develop data-driven solutions
• Stay up to date with industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in data science and AI
• Lead the development and implementation of data-driven solutions, leveraging data science & AI techniques
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and implement data-driven solutions that drive business value
• Ensure solutions meet business requirements are scalable and maintainable
• Develop and implement data governance policies, procedures & standards
• Ensure data quality, integrity, and security complying with regulatory requirements
• Collaborate with stakeholders to identify data quality issues and develop solutions
• Communicate data-driven insights and solutions to stakeholders, including senior leaders & department heads
• Collaborate with stakeholders to identify business problems and develop data-driven solutions
• Develop and maintain relationships with external partners, vendors & industry experts
• Stay up to date with industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in data science & AI
• Identify opportunities for innovation and improvement, developing proposals for new initiatives
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and implement innovative solutions

Minimum Required Qualifications, Certificates & Skills

Qualifications (e.g., Education)

• At least a Master's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Statistics, or a related field

Work Experience (e.g., Number of years and field / role)

• Minimum 12 years in data science, AI, or a related field preferably in the transportation sector with 4-5 year’s GCC experience in a similar or equivalent role within a highly reputed company

Certificates & Trainings

Any relevant certification or training such as:

• Certified Data Scientist (CDS)
• Certified AI and Machine Learning Professional (CAMLP)
• Certified Analytics Professional (CAP)

Skills
