Senior Backend Engineer

Nuage has partnered with an innovative software company delivering advanced solutions for optimal digital performance. As they continue to expand, they seek a Senior Backend Engineer with expertise in building scalable, high-performance systems.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and maintain Java (Spring Boot) backend services, ensuring scalability, reliability, and performance.
• Build and deploy applications using AWS and OpenShift, leveraging Docker and Kubernetes for container orchestration.
• Design and maintain RESTful APIs (OpenAPI) and work with APIConnect to ensure seamless integrations.
• Contribute to backend development using NestJS and MongoDB where appropriate.
• Implement and maintain CI/CD pipelines for efficient deployment and continuous delivery.
• Establish best practices for distributed systems architecture and microservices.
• Conduct code reviews, troubleshoot complex issues, and drive high-quality development standards.

Qualifications:

• 5+ years of backend development experience with Java (Spring Boot) as the primary stack.
• Experience working with NestJS and MongoDB.
• Strong knowledge of RESTful API design (OpenAPI), APIConnect, microservices architecture, and distributed systems.
• Experience deploying applications on AWS and OpenShift, with hands-on skills in Docker, Kubernetes, and Terraform (or similar IaC tools).
• Proficiency in optimising application performance for scalability and efficiency.
• Familiarity with modern CI/CD tools (e.g., GitHub Actions, Jenkins, GitLab CI).
• Passion for adopting emerging cloud technologies and engineering best practices.
