The Opportunity


Our client is a community focused Federal Government Agency, currently seeking a Technology Delivery Manager to assist the ICT Services Branch in ensuring design, build, and maintenance of ICT applications, infrastructure, and hardware are to the highest standards.


Initial hourly rate contract spanning 12 months with a further 12 month extension, offering open market rates, to be based out of our clients Richmond or Geelong site, with a 2 day WFH policy.


Responsibilities will include:

  • Facilitating the team's delivery workflow and promoting continuous improvement.
  • Managing and prioritising the backlog in collaboration with the Project Manager, Product Owner and other key stakeholders.
  • Maintaining the team momentum, identifying and removing blockers that inhibit progress.
  • Working closely with project teams, planning and executing the delivery of services and products.
  • Tracking the progress and performance of the team, finding and reporting any areas skills or knowledge gaps and making sure deadlines are achieved effectively.
  • Planning and coordinating daily stand-ups, sprint planning, retrospectives, and other delivery ceremonies, as required.


About you:

  • Australian citizenship is mandatory to be considered eligible to work for this Federal Government Agency.
  • Proven experience as a Technical Business Analyst, working on highly technical projects.
  • Strong understanding of Agile frameworks (Scrum, Kanban) and DevOps practices, with demonstrated experience facilitating sprints, managing continuous integration/deployment pipelines, and fostering collaboration across development and operations teams.
  • Ability to lead, mentor, and motivate cross-functional teams effectively, ensuring clarity in roles and responsibilities, transparent communication, and conflict resolution capabilities.
  • Strong understanding of modern technologies and software architecture principles (e.g., cloud platforms, microservices, APIs), along with analytical skills to rapidly address technical challenges and make informed decisions.
  • Proven commitment to quality assurance, testing strategies, performance monitoring, and continuous improvement processes, ensuring delivery excellence and sustainable long-term operational effectiveness

Desirable criteria

  • Relevant certifications such as PMP, Prince2, Certified Scrum Master (CSM), SAFe Agilist, or ITIL certification.
  • Background or past experience in software / cloud engineering or hands-on development roles, offering deeper insight into technical delivery nuances
