Full Stack Engineer

We are looking for a FullStack Developer for a freelance project in Brussels, Belgium. The position is Full-Time (5 days p/week) and hybrid over an initial duration of 6 Months, plus a high likelihood of extensions.

Contractual Details

Location: Brussels, Belgium (50% onsite / 50% WFH)

Duration: 6 Months (plus a high likelihood of extensions)

B2B Freelance / Contract

5 Days Per Week / Full-Time

Languages: English + French AND/OR Dutch Fluency

About the Role:

We are seeking a talented Full stack Developer to join our team and contribute to the design, development, and maintenance of robust and scalable software solutions. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to understand requirements and deliver exceptional applications. Your expertise in both front-end and back-end technologies will be essential to the success of our projects.

Key Responsibilities:

· Development and Maintenance: Design, develop, and maintain web applications using Java 17+, Angular, Spring Boot, and other relevant technologies.

· Collaboration: Work closely with product managers, designers, and other developers to define, design, and implement new features.

· Performance and Quality: Ensure the performance, quality, and responsiveness of applications through rigorous testing and code reviews.

· Debugging and Optimization: Identify and resolve bottlenecks, bugs, and performance issues.

· Code Quality and Automation: Maintain high code quality, organization, and automation through best practices and tools.

· Mentorship: Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior developers.

· Technology Exploration: Stay up-to-date with the latest industry trends and technologies, and bring innovative solutions to the team.

· Test-Driven Development (TDD): Implement and adhere to TDD practices to ensure robust and high-quality code.

· Testing: Write and execute unit tests, integration tests, and end-to-end tests.

· Contribute to complex software projects.

Required Knowledge and Skills:

· Experience: Proven experience as a Fullstack Developer.

o Vue.js (nice to have)

· Back-end:

o Java 17+

o Spring Boot (2.x, 3.x)

o Spring Security

o Artemis

o Spring Data JPA (Jakarta)
