Senior Software Engineer (Cancer Research)

Senior Software Engineer – Cancer Research – Amsterdam or Utrecht or Rotterdam.

My client is a growing company that has developed groundbreaking cancer treatments based on the genetic makeup of individual patients—truly personalized care. Many existing cancer treatments are too generic, and this approach offers a more tailored solution.

More and more hospitals are providing raw data, which is processed on a platform where algorithms are applied. Hospitals can then use the results to make better individual diagnoses and recommend more effective treatments.

Tech: Kotlin, Java, GCP, Azure, AWS, Terraform, CI/CD, Docker, Python

As a software engineer, you will work directly with hospitals to implement these algorithms, data. You will analyze the current IT landscape at the hospital and identify areas where improvements can be made. As an engineer, you should be comfortable guiding stakeholders through the right technical choices.

1-2 days you will be a the office in Amsterdam, 1-2 days at the hospital in either Amsterdam, Rotterdam, or Utrecht, and 1-2 days from home.

You should have experience with:

• Java/Kotlin.
• Bridging the gap between IT and business.
• Automating infrastructure environments using Docker and Kubernetes. Experience with these technologies is a plus but not a requirement.
• Strong communication in either English or Dutch.

The gross annual salary can go up to €115K including holiday allowance, along with a pension plan, laptop, and travel expenses. 26 vacation days.
