We’re looking for a Technical Product Manager –Extensibility (ADK) to drive the evolution of our Add-on Development Kit (ADK), ensuring partners and developers can extend our platform without breaking continuous upgrades.

Our ADK enables both productized & bespoke add-on development while ensuring customers remain on a scalable, maintainable solution. It's about striking the right balance between having a strong core product with extensibility as a complement to solve for a large variety of needs. The goal? Solve the long-tail of customer needs that are too specific to build as standard features—without compromising our core product.

Job Description

What You’ll Be Doing:

As the Technical Product Manager –Extensibility, you will:

• Define and execute the vision and roadmap for the Add-on Development Kit (ADK), ensuring it aligns with Sana Commerce’s strategy.
• Collaborate with engineering teams to design, refine, and prioritize API-based extensibility features, including GraphQL, RESTful APIs, hooks, and event-driven extensibility mechanisms.
• Work in a Scrum environment, collaborate with the SCRUM master and fulfill the role of Product Manager to ensure smooth collaboration and backlog management with the team.
• Work closely with partners, in-house developers, and stakeholders to understand use cases and ensure our ADK enables the right level of customization without introducing unnecessary complexity.
• Identify and prioritize API enhancements that allow developers to create custom add-ons and integrations, such as exposing basket validation logic, enabling shipping restrictions, or providing additional order attributes.
• Balance flexibility with maintainability, ensuring the ADK remains powerful enough for custom development while staying aligned with our standard feature-first approach.
• Navigate technical constraints and architectural guardrails, working closely with product architects to ensure extensibility doesn’t introduce excessive dependencies or complexity into our core platform.
• Monitor adoption and impact, identifying where ADK enrichments should be made to maximize value for customers, partners, and internal teams.
  
  
  

Qualifications

What You’ll Bring:

• 5+ years of experience in a Technical Product Owner, API Product Manager, or similar role, with a strong focus on API-based extensibility and product integrations.
• Deep understanding of APIs and extensibility concepts, including GraphQL, RESTful APIs, webhooks, and event-driven architectures.
• Proven experience working with software engineers and architects to design and manage extensibility frameworks, developer toolkits, or API platforms.
• Preferably experience and knowledge of the B2B e-commerce market, its trends, ecosystem and extensibility strategies.
• Ability to translate business requirements into extensibility solutions, prioritizing features that unlock customer value while preserving SaaS scalability.
• Strategic thinking—you can define a clear roadmap for extensibility while adapting to evolving business and technical needs.
• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to clearly explain product extensibility options to internal teams, partners, and stakeholders.
• Technical fluency—you won’t be writing production ready code, but you should be able to discuss API architectures, integrations, and extensibility models with engineers.
