About Role

Solution Architect with domain expertise & experience in designing the solutions involving various Digital Banking/Mobile banking systems of the Financial institutions in the UAE region

Responsibilities

Responsibility

  • Should create technical solution to specific business problems and requirements within the company’s business strategy and considering the company’s Enterprise Architecture roadmap.
  • Should provide solution in line with Agile and Devops oriented project delivery.
  • Design digital solution considering SOA, Open API, API management, Microservices architecture principles wherever applicable
  • Should build end to end solution keeping customer first methodology with respect to web/mobile app, Multichannel framework, BPM, CRM, Data & Analytics components.
  • Present tactical and strategic options architecture and solution to senior management
  • Manage and review application, data and technology component and building blocks from enterprise architecture perspective
  • To maintain the technology options that will most appropriately support the Bank’s required software systems.
  • To ensure that current and complete documentation of the Bank’s systems architecture and the interactions between those systems is developed and maintained.
  • To ensure that scalability, disaster recoverability and system performance are adequately considered in all aspects of the overall systems architecture.
  • To facilitate the effective integration of all systems operating within the Bank and, in particular, as new systems are selected and implemented.
  • To participate in the Bank’s IT strategy formulation and provide research on latest digital technology
  • To Define Technology Roadmap and govern technology portfolio from Enterprise/Digital Application Architecture perspective
  • Contributing to the digital transformation by defining an Omni-channel architecture centred on customer experience
  • Responsible to research current and developing technology options that can be adopted by the bank to meet business requirements such as Microservices, SOA new pattern, Blockchain, Open API.

Must Have Skills 1

A good understanding of the security processes, standards & issues involved in multi-tier, multi-tenant web applications - e.g. SSO, OAuth, SAML, Field-Level Encryption, etc.

  • Must have working knowledge in application development/integration preferably Java, Spring framework(Boot, MVC,JPA), Angular, React Native, React web, TIBCO, WebSphere etc
  • At least 3 years in solution architecture covering 3 or more of web/mobile applications, SOA/ API/Microservices & integration, analytics, infrastructure and deployment.
  • At least 5 years in in software development with at least 2 years in building Java backend applications.
  • Working knowledge of front end development technology (e.g. Native iOS, Native Android, Hybrid/Web: AngularJS, ReactJS, HTML5, CSS3, React Native)

Must Have Skills 2

  • Must Have working knowledge Defining API Specification for REST or Web Services
  • Must have knowledge of API & Interface governances, design standards and principles

Must Have Skills 3

  • Must have knowledge in Cloud Deployments
  • Must have knowledge hardware sizing and able to define application architecture that High Available, scalable etc.

Must Have Skills 4

Managing the life cycle of solutions, undertaking technology watch and developing proofs of concept for Compliance systems. This is applicable to both on Premise & Cloud based components (especially AWS)

Nice to Have Skills

  • AWS , Azure, Professional certification will be added advantage
  • Knowledge and Experience in Cloud, DevOps, Agile development methodology
  • Must be aware of Security standards & best practices of while defining the application architecture

Competency Required

Digital, Web & Mobile App Architecture, Microservices, Containerization and Integration technologies, Agile, Cloud, Devops, Presentation Skills.

Any Function Ares required

Personal Banking Products, Onboarding processes, Core Banking functionalities, Customer verification/KYC processes.
