DevOps Engineer

LHH is working with a client in Mississauga, Ontario Canada the is adding several Devops Engineers to their team! This is a direct hire, hybrid role with 3 days in office. This senior-level position will be focused on establishing and implementing new or revised application systems and programs in collaboration with the Technology team. The primary objective is to lead application systems analysis and programming activities.

Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with management teams to ensure seamless integration of functions, achieving strategic goals and identifying system enhancements for new product deployments and process improvements.
• Resolve complex, high-impact problems and projects through thorough evaluation of business processes, system workflows, and industry standards.
• Provide expert guidance in application programming, ensuring application design aligns with the overall architectural blueprint.
• Leverage advanced knowledge of system flow to develop standards for coding, testing, debugging, and implementation.
• Develop a comprehensive understanding of how various business areas, including architecture and infrastructure, integrate to achieve organizational objectives.
• Conduct in-depth analysis and employ interpretive thinking to define issues and develop innovative solutions.
• Mentor and coach mid-level developers and analysts, effectively delegating tasks.
• Proactively assess risk in business decisions, prioritizing ethical conduct, compliance with relevant regulations, and transparent reporting of control issues.

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 6 years of experience as a DevOps Engineer or in a similar capacity.
• Solid understanding of DevOps principles and methodologies.
• Practical experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP).
• Proficiency in Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools such as Terraform or CloudFormation.
• Expertise in building and managing CI/CD pipelines using tools like Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD, or CircleCI.
• Strong scripting skills in Python for automation and tooling.
• Experience with monitoring and logging tools (Prometheus, Grafana, ELK stack).
• Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.

Education:

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
