We are seeking a Project Manager to join our Minerals Organization. This is a fixed-term contract role, expected to last one year (maternity leave).

You will be responsible for delivering filters to mining and industrial solutions to our global customers. Your role plays a crucial part in delivering customer satisfaction and influencing the industry to more sustainable use of natural resources. You will work in a team of seven project managers based mainly in Lappeenranta and Espoo.

In this position, you will report to Henrik Hellbom, Manager, Project Management Filters

This position is located in Lappeenranta or Espoo. We are happy to offer flexible working arrangements, including hybrid options. However, it involves 10-20% traveling.

What You’ll Do


  • Lead and manage assigned equipment, and process island projects in strong collaboration with the BL Filters
  • Deliver Projects as per contractual obligation in quality, time, and budget
  • Be responsible for project portfolio management and reporting of assigned projects
  • Maximize the business outcome for Metso in assigned projects
  • Manage and mitigate project related risks
  • Lead the project team
  • Manage customer relationship
  • Manage changes, claims, and warranty cases
  • Assist in sales cases


Who You Are


  • Academic degree in process, mechanical- or automation engineering
  • Capability and willingness to work in customer interface related to both technical and commercial issues
  • Project, contract, change and claim management skills
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and tasks simultaneously
  • Strong collaboration, communication, team working, and negotiation skills
  • Experience in working in a cross-cultural environment
  • Financial and business acumen
  • Fluent oral and written communication skills in English; other languages are seen as assets
  • Willingness to travel internationally
