About the client: They are a leading company in the energy space, heavily investing in Gen AI and pricing Data science capabilities.

Key Responsibilities:

• Leadership and Strategy: Lead and mentor a high-performing data science team, fostering a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous improvement. Develop and execute the data science strategy aligned with our business goals.
• Advanced Analytics and Modeling: Oversee the development and implementation of advanced analytics, machine learning models, and AI solutions to address complex financial challenges, including price automation and predictive analytics.
• Data-Driven Decision Making: Drive data-driven decision-making processes across the organization by providing actionable insights and recommendations based on rigorous data analysis and modeling.
• Stakeholder Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including finance, IT, product development, and marketing, to identify business opportunities and deliver data-driven solutions that enhance operational efficiency and business outcomes.
• Innovation and Research: Stay at the forefront of data science advancements and financial industry trends. Promote a culture of continuous learning and innovation within the team, encouraging exploration of new technologies and methodologies.
• Data Governance and Quality: Ensure data integrity, security, and privacy compliance. Implement best practices for data governance and quality assurance to maintain the highest standards of data accuracy and reliability.

Qualifications:

• Experience: Proven experience (7+ years) in data science roles, with a significant portion in a leadership capacity.
• Technical Expertise: Deep understanding of machine learning, deep learning, statistical analysis. Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, R, and SQL, as well as experience with cloud platforms (e.g., Azure, AWS).
• Strategic Vision: Strong strategic thinking and problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate business objectives into actionable data science initiatives.
• Communication Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to convey complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders and influence decision-making at all levels of the organization.
• Leadership: Demonstrated leadership abilities with a track record of building and managing high-performing data science teams.

Salary range: €120,000 - €140,000 + 10% bonus

Hybrid working set up, 1 day in office. They are located close to Karlsruhe!
