Android Developer / Java Software Engineer

We are looking for a Medior Android DevOps Engineer to join one of our DevOps teams in the public sector. This role involves working on Android development within an Agile/DevOps environment, contributing to mobile applications with Kotlin, Java, and Cordova, while ensuring security and performance.

The position is based in Utrecht, requiring on-site work once per week, with remote work possible for the remainder of the time.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain Android applications using Kotlin and Java
• Work with Cordova (PhoneGap) for Android applications (training available if needed)
• Implement mobile development solutions using HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and TypeScript
• Build and enhance applications with Angular 1.4/2.0
• Ensure compliance with mobile security best practices
• Integrate and work with REST APIs (NFC, Barcode, Contact Chips, MRZ)
• Maintain and optimize CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins
• Manage source control with Git and Bitbucket
• Apply automated testing principles in mobile development

Preferred Experience:

• Experience with iOS development using Swift
