Position Summary

The Nestlé System Technology Centre (NSTC) in Orbe is Nestlé’s leading R&D centre for the design, development and deployment of Nestlé delivery systems, offering expertise in machines, packaging and products for in-home and out-of-home.

As an R&D Trainee in Digital UX Design and Product Interaction, you will work on R&D projects such as new products and services for Nespresso coffee systems, including machines, packaging, accessories, and digital tools (apps and HMI). It’s a unique opportunity to be part of innovative projects that could be added to Nespresso and Nestlé future portfolio.

A Day in the Life of an R&D Trainee

• Watch the trends in terms of UX/UI and product design
• Program functional mockups and prototype to be tested in UX assessment
• Generate improvement ideas and make them happen on test mockups and prototypes
• Collaborate with different R&D functions and advocate for a user-oriented mindset
  
  

What Will Make You Successful

• Student or fresh graduate in a Bachelor or Master’s Degree in Microtechnology, Computer Science, or a related field
• Demonstrate exceptional skills in end-to-end user experience design processes and tools
• Strong knowledge of ergonomics, pleasure of use, design by usage and interaction
• A strong passion for UX Design
• Very good use of design artefacts to effectively generate and communicate ideas
• Good storytelling skills with a real passion for finding new ways to advocate for our users
• Very creative mindset, autonomous, and user oriented
• Proficiency in programming tools, such as Python, as well as experience with wireframing tools such as Adobe XD and Figma.
• Fluent in English, French is a plus
