About the Role

On behalf of our client in the Banking industry, Astek Canada is seeking a motivated Security Analyst ready to take on new challenges.

Your Responsibilities

As a Security Analyst, you will be responsible for:

• Provide leadership for the provision of technical expertise in development and support of activities, processes, procedures and tools for protecting information security with a focus on application security.
• Research, design and implement application security solutions and practices.
• Direct testing of security plans.
• Lead the evaluation of new and proposed security systems and technologies.
• Knowledge of IT standards and procedures.
• Knowledge of process and tools for assuring adherence to standards.
• Thorough knowledge of existing and planned infrastructure security platforms and architecture components.
• Working side by side to ensure timelines are met, chasing the right people to ensure the requirement/deadlines are met.
• Strong data analysis, drawing inferences from the data set.
• Need to be able to interpret data.
• Infrastructure scanning, able to look at data file and make recommendations.

Your Qualifications

Must have:

• Data Analytics.
• Governance experience.
• Critical thinking and ability to make decisions.
• Overall security and remediation experience.

• Understands service now vulnerability response module.
• Technical Writing.
• Banking experience.
• Agile experience.
