The vision of Digital and Emerging Payments Team in Amazon is to delight our customers with the best payment experience in the world! To achieve this vision, we are in search of a talented Software Developer who is customer obsessed and is focused on delivering first class quality products to our customers.

Our team focuses on building a set of reusable components and services to accelerate the launch of affordability payment products in emerging markets. Our components have been used to provide payment options such as Buy Now Pay Later and Credit Card Installment in countries like Singapore, Mexico, Australia and Brazil. We collaborate with internal teams as well as external credit providers to provide a seamless experience for customers in choosing a partner and payment plan that is more affordable than paying in full.

Key job responsibilities

We are looking for a Software Development Engineer intern to design and build the next generation of payment solutions for customers in emerging markets. As a Software Development Engineer intern, you will get the opportunity to own problems end-to-end and work with some of the best minds in Amazon. You will have a broad range of responsibilities from design, development, testing, deployment and operations. The ideal engineer for this space will have passion for building a great customer experience in payments space, be innovative, have a strong track record of delivery and should be able to collaborate effectively with both internal and external teams.

Basic Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent
• Able to commit to a full-time internship from July to December 2025
• Expected graduation from January 2026 onwards
• Candidates must be able to legally work in Singapore
  
  

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience programming with at least one software programming language
• Previous technical internship(s) with full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations experience
• Previous technical internship(s) with design or architecture (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience
