Overview

We are seeking a Java Backend Developer to design, develop, and maintain scalable backend services and APIs for Mastercard. This role focuses on performance optimization, database management, and API development in a fast-paced environment.

Position: Java Backend Developer (Full-Time)

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain Java-based backend services and APIs
• Design and implement scalable REST APIs
• Collaborate with front-end developers, product teams, and stakeholders
• Optimize backend services for speed and reliability
• Write unit and integration tests to ensure quality and performance
• Work with databases, implement complex queries, and maintain database integrity
• Participate in code reviews and mentor junior developers
• Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues to maintain system uptime
  
  

Required Qualifications

• Strong experience in Core Java, including multithreading and synchronization
• Expertise in RESTful API design and implementation
• Solid knowledge of database management systems (SQL)
• Experience with testing frameworks (JUnit, TestNG)
• Strong problem-solving and debugging skills
• Experience working in a fast-paced, collaborative environment
• Familiarity with cloud technologies (AWS, GCP, or Azure) is a plus
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field
