Security Administrator

About the Company - Hays has partnered with a renowned organisation based in Brisbane. They are recruiting for a Security Administrator to join them on a 12-month contract.

About the Role - You will join the Cybersecurity Operations team. Your responsibilities include:

• Assist in the development of incident response plans and SOPs.
• Assist with security incident investigations, analysis and response in coordination with the security operations and other technology teams.
• Administer, maintain and monitor security tools such as firewalls, IDS/IPS, web proxies and endpoint security.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure that security best practices are integrated into IT projects and infrastructure changes.
• Provide technical support for security-related projects and initiatives, including cloud security, network security and application security.
• Provide advice to management and the cross-functional team on security-related matters.
• Vulnerability management

What you'll need to succeed:

• 5 years experience working within Cybersecurity.
• Experience with firewall and IDS/IPS is absolutely mandatory.
• Practical experience with Cisco Umbrella and Cisco Web Application.
• Strong experience with cloud security (AWS and Azure)
• Strong knowledge and security protocols, tools, and best practices.
• Experience with network security monitoring and analysis tools.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
