Senior Software Engineer

We, LeasingMarkt.de, are a team of almost 100 employees who ensure every day a new that car dealers and customers interested in leasing find each other. With the help of our marketplace, which has already been joined by over a thousand car dealers, we enable around two million users in the DACH region and the Netherlands to compare numerous leasing offers transparently online. This makes us the #1 leasing platform in Germany. And to ensure that we continue to be in the fast lane, we are looking for you as a new member of our racing team at our Düsseldorf location.

As Software Engineer (m/f/d) you will support the development of one of the largest marketplaces for leasing vehicles at LeasingMarkt.de. Your job will include the development of responsive single page application frontend systems for dealers and prospective leasing customers. Together with your cross-functional team, you will develop solutions and thus shape our product. Our teams work holistically according to agile methods.

Your Tasks

• You and your team are responsible for software design and architecture.
• You drive the completion of the requirements for our product from a technical perspective.
• Through your understanding of complex systems, you abstract and develop sustainable solutions.
• Maintainability and changeability are important to you in software development.
• You like to share your ideas in the team and sometimes take the pen in hand to visualize complex concepts for a better understanding.
  
  

Requirements

• You have a profound knowledge of PHP backend development with Laravel, Symfony or comparable frameworks. You also have good DB SQL knowledge. Some knowledge of TypeScript and frameworks such as react.js or Next.js is a plus.
• A desire to live a culture of continuous improvement, constantly learning new things and discussing possible solutions.
• Hands-on experience with cloud services and platforms like AWS, including deployment and management of cloud-based applications
• You enjoy working with agile development methodologies, Clean Architecture.
• An interest in driving technical improvements with strong knowledge of Domain Driven Development and a strong interest in Operational excellence.
• Experience leveraging AI, Generative AI (GenAI) to enhance engineering productivity, automate repetitive tasks, and optimize workflows. Candidates should demonstrate the ability to integrate AI-driven solutions into their daily work — such as code generation, debugging, reviews, documentation, and decision support—to improve efficiency for themselves and their teams. A proactive approach to exploring and implementing AI tools that drive innovation and streamline development processes is highly valued.
