Wat ga je doen?

Als backend software developer werk je aan diensten die de basis vormen van onze Social Media marketing tool. Je maakt deel uit van een van onze multidisciplinaire scrum teams bestaande uit getalenteerde, gedreven en behulpzame developers. Samen met een Product Manager en de rest van je team, ben je verantwoordelijk voor het creëren van je backlog en het leveren van kwalitatieve oplossingen.

Jij en je team nemen verantwoordelijkheid voor de diensten en software die je bouwt. En je zorgt ervoor dat de diensten testbaar, gemakkelijk onderhouden en veerkrachtig zijn. Je werkt nauw samen met onze andere development teams om ervoor te zorgen dat de functionaliteit die je bouwt naadloos aansluit bij de behoeften en eisen van onze klanten.

Verder zullen dit je belangrijkste taken zijn:

• Je werkt samen met het team aan het ontwerpen en implementeren van robuuste, schaalbare en onderhoudbare microservices met een sterke focus op micro-architectuurprincipes.
• Je ontwikkelt hoogwaardige code voornamelijk in Go en Elixir, waarbij je zorgt voor optimale prestaties en betrouwbaarheid.
• Je werkt met Kubernetes voor container orchestratie, waarbij je zorgt voor efficiënte implementatie en schaalbaarheid.
• Je maakt gebruik van message brokers zoals RabbitMQ en Kafka voor asynchrone communicatie.
• Je integreert en beheert databases zoals MongoDB en MySQL voor gegevensopslag en -opvraging.
• Je implementeert monitoring en logging oplossingen met behulp van Grafana en Sentry om de system health en -prestaties te waarborgen.

Wie ben jij?

Je hebt de drive om hoogwaardige backend-oplossingen te bouwen. Je geeft de voorkeur aan de commandoregel boven een UI. Je staat open om nieuwe dingen te leren. Je houdt ervan jezelf en anderen uit te dagen en voortdurend je programmeervaardigheden te verbeteren. Je gedijt in een team, houdt van een grapje en rond graag goed je werk af.

Verder:

• Heb je een bachelor- of masterdiploma in Computer Science of een gelijkwaardig vakgebied.
• Heb je ervaring in Backend Development en volg je softwareontwikkelingsprincipes zoals TDD, SOLID, KISS en DRY.
• Heb je ervaring met een aantal van de volgende technologieën: Go, Elixir, Docker, Kubernetes, RabbitMQ, Kafka, MySQL, MongoDB.
• Ben je bekend met Git en bijbehorende workflows.
• Voel je je comfortabel in een Agile-werkomgeving.
• Beheers je Engels vloeiend, zowel in woord als geschrift.
• Ben je beschikbaar om hybride te werken in ons kantoor in Eindhoven.

Backend Software Developer

What are you going to do?

As a backend software developer, you’ll be working on services that form the base of our Social Media marketing tool. You will join one of our dynamic, multidisciplinary Scrum teams consisting of skilled, motivated, and collaborative software engineers. And working alongside a Product Manager and the rest of your team, you will be responsible for creating the backlog, planning, and delivering high-quality solutions.

You and your team take ownership of the services and software you build. You ensure that the services you build are scalable, maintainable, and resilient.You will work closely with our other development teams to make sure the functionality you build fits seamlessly with the needs and requirements of our customers.

Furthermore, these will be your main tasks:

• You will work with the team on designing and implementing robust, scalable, and maintainable microservices with a keen focus on microarchitecture principles.
• You will develop high-quality code primarily in Go and Elixir, ensuring optimal performance and reliability.
• You will work with Kubernetes for container orchestration, ensuring efficient deployment and scalability.
• You will utilize message brokers like RabbitMQ and Kafka for asynchronous communication.
• You will integrate with and manage databases such as MongoDB and MySQL for data storage and retrieval.
• You will use monitoring and logging solutions using Grafana and Sentry to ensure system health and performance.

Who you are

You have the drive to build high quality backend solutions. You prefer the command line over a UI. You are open to learning new stuff. You like to challenge yourself and others and to continuously improve your coding skills. You thrive on working in a team, are in for a joke and like to get things done.

Furthermore:

• You have a bachelor or master degree in the area of Computer Science or equivalent;
• You have experience in Backend Development following software development best practices like TDD, SOLID, KISS and DRY;
• You have experience with at least several of the following technologies: Go, Elixir, Docker, Kubernetes, RabbitMQ, Kafka, MySQL, MongoDB;
• You are familiar with Git and related workflows;
• You feel comfortable working in an Agile environment;
• You are fluent in English, both written and spoken.
• You are available to work hybrid in our Eindhoven office.
