Job Description

Responsibilities:

• Use a tech stack of:
• Python-based backend.
• CI/CD pipelines using GitLab.
• ReTool for application development and configuration.
• Develop and maintain backend functionality in Python.
• Implement automated tests for developed code.
• Conduct manual code reviews for team members' code.
• Document code and processes in both repositories and Confluence.
• Actively participate in refinement meetings and manage Jira tasks, ensuring a clear “definition of ready.”
• Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines in GitLab, often collaborating in group/mob programming sessions.
• Configure and manage ReTool
• Regularly update libraries and dependencies, ensuring quality and security through automated scanning for vulnerabilities and license compliance.

Qualifications

Skills & Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience as a backend developer, primarily in Python.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines, preferably in GitLab.
• Familiarity with Jira and Confluence for issue tracking and documentation.
• Strong knowledge of dependency management tools (e.g., Poetry, pip-tools, pyenv, venv).
• Proficiency in automated testing, code quality assurance, and security scanning tools.
• Experience developing and maintaining containerized Microservices.
• Excellent communication and documentation abilities.
• Ability to mentor and support team members in development best practices.
• Fluent in both spoken and written English and Portuguese.
