Software Engineer II, Embedded, Fitbit device

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 1 year of experience with software development in one or more programming languages (e.g., Python, C, C++, Java, JavaScript).
  • 1 year of experience with data structures or algorithms.
  • 1 year of experience working with embedded operating systems

Preferred qualifications:

  • Masters in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or related field or equivalent practical experience.
  • Experience developing software for embedded systems.
  • Knowledge of one or more of the following (e.g., device drivers, SoC, microcontrollers, Linux, FreeRTOS, ZephyrOS, NuttX).

Responsibilities

  • Develop and enable new product features in embedded software.
  • Design and implement system technologies, such as data management and transport.
  • Write drivers and support for hardware/peripherals.
  • Create user interfaces, collaborating with our UI/UX designers.
