Position: Data Scientist

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Data Scientist to join our team. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in optimizing our data infrastructure, analyzing complex datasets, and applying machine learning techniques to drive insights that inform our drug formulation strategies. This position requires a strong technical background in data science, excellent analytical skills, and the ability to communicate complex findings effectively.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Data Pipeline Optimization: Design, implement, and maintain efficient data pipelines to ensure seamless data processing, organization, and storage. This includes optimizing data ingestion, processing, and storage solutions to support scalable data analysis.
  • Data Analysis: Conduct in-depth analysis of large datasets to identify trends, patterns, and correlations that can inform drug formulation decisions. This involves applying statistical techniques and data modeling to extract meaningful insights.
  • Data Visualization and Presentation: Develop and implement data visualization tools to effectively communicate findings to both technical and non-technical stakeholders. Present complex data insights in a clear, actionable manner to support business decisions.
  • Machine Learning Applications: Apply machine learning techniques such as regression, classification, and unsupervised clustering to analyze and model data. This includes developing predictive models that can enhance drug formulation optimization.
  • Collaboration and Communication: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including software engineers and pharmaceutical scientists, to integrate data insights into our development pipeline.
  • Communicate technical concepts and results to both internal stakeholders and external partners.

Requirements:

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Physics, or a related field.


Technical Skills:

  • Proficiency in Python.
  • Experience with data analysis libraries (e.g., Pandas, NumPy, Matplotlib, Scikit-learn).
  • Familiarity with data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Plotly).
  • Knowledge of machine learning frameworks and techniques (e.g., PyTorch, Keras, Tensorflow)
  • Experience with data management systems (e.g., relational databases).
  • Familiarity with cloud-based data platforms (e.g., AWS, GCP, Azure).

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in the pharmaceutical or biotechnology industry.
  • Familiarity with AI and robotics applications in drug formulation.
  • Knowledge of regulatory compliance related to data management in the pharma/biotech sector.
