Backend Engineer

Employment Type: Full-Time

Compensation: $150,000 - $175,000 base salary

Location: Hybrid – Midtown NYC (2/3 days a week in office)

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and maintain backend systems with a focus on Node.js and Next.js.
• Collaborate with product and frontend teams to build scalable and efficient APIs.
• Optimize backend performance and ensure system reliability.
• Contribute to architectural decisions for a growing engineering team.
• Work in a hybrid environment, with regular in-office collaboration.
• Participate in an early-stage startup, influencing product and technical direction.
• Golang experience is preferable.

What’s Required:

• Strong backend development experience, prioritizing Node.js and Next.js.
• Track record of working in 2-3 prior roles, demonstrating technical growth.
• Experience with scalable system design and API development.
• Comfort working in an early-stage startup environment.
• Interest in high-growth opportunities and equity participation.
