PURPOSE

We are seeking a skilled NMS/ OpenText ITOM Consultant to join our team and help build scalable, efficient, and high-performance services.

REQUREMENTS

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science /software engineering/ Higher Diploma
• 4-7 years.
• Experience in OpenText/Microfocus Operation Bridge (OBM), Network Automation, NNMi, SiteScope, UCMDB.
• NMS tools like SolarWinds, Nagios, Zabbix, NetAct, or Cisco Prime (e.g., React, Angular, Vue.js).
• Understanding Networking concepts.

PRIMARY SKILLS

• Understanding Network Protocols.
• Server Management.
• Performance Optimization.
• Security.
• Linux.
• Database Management: MSSQL, PostgreSQL, Oracle.

TECHNICAL REQUIREMENT

• Technical Knowledge: Expertise in NMS tools like SolarWinds, Nagios, Zabbix, NetAct, or Cisco Prime.
• Protocols: Familiarity with SNMP, NetFlow, and Syslog protocols.
• Network Protocols: Strong understanding of TCP/IP, MPLS, BGP, and other networking concepts.
• Problem-solving: Excellent analytical skills for complex system troubleshooting.
• Linux command line, file editing, package management, log export, process monitoring, shell scripting basics, log exploration, Linux permissions, and user management.
• Scripting: Basic knowledge of Python, Bash, or Perl for automation.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

• Network Management: Configure, monitor, and maintain NMS platforms to ensure smooth network operations.
• System Integration: Integrate NMS tools with third-party software and network devices.
• Monitoring & Performance Analysis: Set up alerts and dashboards for proactive monitoring of network health and performance.
• Troubleshooting: Analyze and resolve network issues, system failures, or configuration mismatches.
• Automation: Implement automation scripts for routine tasks like fault detection and report generation.
• Documentation: Maintain detailed documentation of NMS configurations, troubleshooting steps, and system changes.
• Implement and maintain security best practices.
