Join a Growing Data Science Team in Financial Services

MBN Solutions is excited to be working with a leading UK financial institution as they establish a brand-new data team in the UK. As part of this expansion, they are hiring two Data Scientists to play a key role in designing and implementing cutting-edge data science solutions that directly impact customers.

This is an opportunity to work on end-to-end model development, applying a mix of statistical, mathematical, and machine learning techniques to solve complex business challenges.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Innovative Problem-Solving – Apply financial, statistical, and machine learning methodologies to develop solutions tailored to business needs.
• Full Lifecycle Model Development – Take ownership of model building from design through deployment, using a product-focused approach.
• Collaborating with Stakeholders – Work closely with teams across the business to identify opportunities where data science can drive value.
• Building & Testing Models – Develop, train, and evaluate machine learning models, ensuring scalability, governance, and ethical considerations are met.

What We’re Looking For

• Experience in a multi-disciplinary data science team (financial sector experience is a plus).
• Strong background in classification, time-series, and regression models.
• Proficiency in Python and its core data science libraries (Pandas, NumPy, Sci-kit Learn).
• Solid statistical knowledge and a strong mathematical foundation (a degree in statistics, mathematics, or economics is preferred).
• Experience with EViews is highly desirable.
• Ability to source, clean, and manipulate structured data effectively.
• Strong communication skills and experience engaging with stakeholders.
• Familiarity with data visualisation tools such as Tableau.
