Network Engineer | 6-Month Contract (Extendable) | Leading Financial Institution | Australia

A leading financial institution in Australia is seeking a Network Engineer to join its team on a 6-month contract, with the possibility of extension for an additional 6 months. This role is primarily operationally focused, requiring expertise in troubleshooting, maintaining, and supporting enterprise network infrastructure!

Key Responsibilities

• Support the daily operations of the organisation’s network infrastructure, ensuring stability, security, and high availability.
• Perform incident response, troubleshooting, and resolution of network-related issues.
• Manage and maintain Cisco routing and switching environments.
• Support and configure Palo Alto firewalls to enhance network security.
• Work closely with internal teams to improve network performance and implement best practices.
• Provide documentation and technical support to ensure seamless operations.

Key Requirements

• Strong experience in Cisco routing and switching within an enterprise environment.
• Hands-on expertise with Palo Alto firewalls, including configuration and troubleshooting.
• Proven ability to diagnose and resolve complex network issues in a timely manner.
• Experience working in operational support roles within large organisations.

Desirable Skills

• Exposure to Versa SD-WAN or Palo Alto SASE solutions.
• Familiarity with financial institution network environments and security standards.
• Experience with automation and scripting for network management.
