About the Role:

As a Machine Learning Engineer, you'll be at the forefront of developing and deploying cutting-edge product features and models. Your expertise will ensure the seamless operation of our production pipelines, while your creativity will help optimise workflows and enhance performance. You will work with large, real-world datasets to build complex algorithms that not only meet but exceed project goals.

Key Responsibilities:

Stability First: Ensure continuous operation and stability of production pipelines while troubleshooting issues and optimising efficiency.
Model Development: Design, maintain, and enhance deep learning-based recommender system models for diverse use cases, including click-through rate (CTR) prediction.
Collaboration is Key: Partner with data scientists to transform prototypes into production-ready solutions, conducting statistical analyses and monitoring model performance in large-scale environments.
Continuous Improvement: Regularly assess model performance, recommending adjustments to boost prediction accuracy and scalability.
Feature Engineering: Build and optimise training-ready features from raw data to enhance model training performance.
Cross-Functional Impact: Work alongside multiple teams to elevate the performance of the advertising recommender framework, aligning with the latest advancements and business needs.

What We're Looking For:

A PhD/Master's degree in a quantitative discipline such as Computer Science, Mathematics, or Statistics.

Proven experience applying advanced Machine Learning and AI techniques to real-world, large-scale problems.

Solid understanding of machine learning algorithms, theories, and mathematical principles.
Proficient in Python and SQL, with hands-on experience in Deep Learning frameworks like Keras, TensorFlow, or PyTorch.

Familiarity with Java is a plus!

Knowledge of Hadoop, Spark, and Hive is preferred.

Experience in Online Advertising, Search Engines, or Recommender Systems is a distinct advantage.

Chinese speaking skills are a bonus to facilitate communication with our client's headquarters.
