Job Title: Network Engineer (CCNP Level) – Contract

Location: Limerick, Ireland (Onsite, 5 days per week)

Duration: 6-month contract (Possoble Extensions)

Rate: 350-425pd

About the Role:

We are seeking an experienced Network Engineer with CCNP-level expertise to join our team on a 6-month daily rate contract in Limerick. This role requires strong skills in routing, switching, wireless, SD-WAN, and Palo Alto firewalls. The successful candidate will work onsite, collaborating with the IT team to support, optimize, and secure network infrastructure, including patching and upgrades.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, implement, and troubleshoot Cisco network infrastructure (routing, switching, wireless, and SD-WAN).
• Manage and optimize Palo Alto firewalls, ensuring robust security policies and configurations.
• Perform patching and firmware upgrades across networking and security infrastructure.
• Support network performance monitoring, incident response, and troubleshooting.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support business-critical projects.
• Ensure network compliance with security policies and best practices.
• Maintain documentation and provide technical guidance as needed.

Essential Skills & Experience:

• CCNP-level expertise in Cisco networking (Routing, Switching, Wireless, SD-WAN).
• Experience with Palo Alto firewalls (configuration, security policies, troubleshooting).
• Strong experience in patching and firmware upgrades across network infrastructure.
• Understanding of network security principles and best practices.
• Experience with enterprise networking environments and troubleshooting complex network issues.
• Ability to work onsite 5 days per week in Limerick.

Desirable Skills:

➕ Experience with Cisco ISE, DNA Center, and Meraki.

➕ Familiarity with cloud networking (AWS/Azure).

➕ Strong scripting/automation knowledge (Python, Ansible).

Contract Details:

• 6-month contract, with potential for extension.
• Daily rate contract (350-425pd DOE).
• Onsite role in Limerick (5 days per week).
