Senior Software Engineer

We are looking for a senior software engineer with experience in C++ and an interest in mechatronics, control system design, and computer vision.

Who are we?

Valhalla Turrets specializes in developing next-generation remote weapon control solutions for defense and security applications. With years of experience in engineering and manufacturing small and large remote-controlled weapon stations and turrets, we collaborate with leading European defense contractors as their development partner.

Location: Tehnološki park 22A, Ljubljana

Your responsibilities:

• Development of software components and algorithms for remote weapon control
• Integration of hardware (cameras, radars, motors, and various sensors)
• Testing and documenting software code
• Participating in team meetings and code reviews
• Frequent presence in the office due to the nature of the work (use of hardware)
• Required skills and knowledge
• Proficiency in C++ (version 17 or later) or other C++ level language like Rust
• Good understanding of low-level memory management
• Proficiency in concurrent system development and multithreading techniques
• You will be expected to write modular, well-structured code that enables easy testing and maintainability
• Experience with real-time system development and debugging
• Strong knowledge of Docker for containerization and CI deployment
• Proficiency in CMake for project configuration and build management
