About the Role
We are seeking to contract a consultant for a senior data engineer within our Digital Enabling Plants domain. This domain is responsible for developing the digital capabilities to support client’s business of hydrogen and DRI manufacturing, product traceability & sustainability, asset management (incl. asset information management and asset maintenance management), power management and safety management. This consultant position would primarily work within the areas of product traceability & sustainability, where we during 2025 plan to kick-off an exciting initiative to develop digital tools to enable monitoring, reporting and verification of (CO2) emissions. Experience in sustainability domains - such as emission calculations, digital product passports, LCA, and EPDs - is therefore a big bonus. We are looking for someone who wants to work with data mesh and to build a truly data-driven organization, enabling data autonomy and ownership across our business. You would be part of an agile development team and work closely together with your product owner and team members, as well as other digital teams, business stakeholders and domain experts. You and your team are jointly responsibility for your domain’s digital infrastructure and the development and life cycle of the operational and analytical digital solutions.
Responsibilities
- Data Solution Architecture: Define solution architecture & information modelling for how to collect data from various sources and model that into data products to serve the sustainability domain.
- Data Engineering: Implement data collection systems and integrations for both batch and streaming data from factories, supply chain and various external systems, to be packaged into easily consumable data products in our data platform.
Qualifications
Proven expertise in data architecture, with a strong foundation in designing and implementing data solutions.
Required Skills
- Hands on experience working with AWS S3, Snowflake and dbt or similar.
- Automated software building, testing, deployment and operations using GitLab CI/CD.
- Infrastructure as Code using Terraform.
- Experience working with Kubernetes clusters or similar.
- Experience developing and operating microservice based environments.
- Experience with Data Mesh.
- Experience with time series data.
- Experience with ingesting streaming OT data.
Preferred Skills
- Bonus: Experience with Kotlin for building ingestion microservices.
- Experience of OPC-UA information modelling.
- Experience of business architecture.
