Global Logistics Project Manager (Transportation Management)

Your Contribution

• Operate as MAHLE supply chain expert for Strategic cross-Business Unit freight and warehousing processes for over 170 MAHLE plants worldwide.
• Lead global supply chain projects aiming on reshaping the existing transport network e.g. through consolidation of Ocean Freight, implementation of transport management systems (IT and Processes) etc.
• Lead logistics cost and performance improvement projects and initiatives cross-BU with a focus on freight and warehouse cost reduction.
• Collaborate with plants and development areas to define best practice processes and improvement (remote and on-site during global workshops).
• Support management initiatives with Strategic logistics, freight, and warehousing.
• Define processes, methods and volume plan to tender external freight providers together with non-production materials (NPM)purchasing.
• Support in global freight budget planning and controlling
  
  

Your Experience And Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years’ experience in logistics, purchasing or related fields. (preferred in transport logistics)
• Experience in working within a global organization with cross regional project work and project management with involvement of all management hierarchies is required.
• Working experience within Automotive Industry (OEM, Tier 1 etc.) or Logistics Industry (e.g. global freight forwarder) is a plus.
• Ability to solve problems, to work within deadlines with a high attention to detail, and to work independently in a fast paced, dynamic environment
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including presentation delivery.
• Willingness to travel internationally
