Site Reliability Engineer - Principal - Dubai (must already be based in the UAE)

We've partnered with an impactful, well-funded start-up, based in Dubai to help them grow their team. We're looking to hire an exceptional Principal SRE, someone accustumed to working in a start-up environment.

You will come in and own the stability, scalability, and security of our client's cloud-based software platform. This role is ideal for someone with a hands-on approach, a passion for automation, and a deep understanding of building and maintaining high-performance infrastructure in a cloud environment.

What you'll do:

• Architect and maintain resilient cloud systems that support large-scale applications
• Automate infrastructure provisioning, scaling, and deployments to enhance efficiency
• Lead troubleshooting efforts and post-incident reviews to drive continuous improvement
• Develop and implement strategies for monitoring, alerting, and incident response to ensure seamless system operations
• Analyze system bottlenecks and optimize performance through proactive capacity planning
• Promote best practices in security, compliance, and infrastructure management
• Manage CI/CD workflows, ensuring smooth deployments with minimal downtime

What you'll need:

• 9+ years of experience in cloud infrastructure, reliability engineering, or DevOps
• Experience in SaaS companies
• Proficiency in Kubernetes, Terraform, Helm, and Infrastructure as Code methodologies.
• Deep expertise in designing and scaling GCP platforms (or AWS)
• Strong experience with observability tools like Prometheus, Grafana, Datadog, or ELK
• Expertise in modern CI/CD pipelines (ArgoCD, GitHub Actions, Jenkins, etc.)
• Solid scripting and automation skills in Python, Bash, or Go
• Experience with distributed systems, microservices, and performance tuning
• Strong knowledge of networking, cloud security, and system optimization
• Expertise automation, self-healing systems, and continuous improvement
