Cloud Architect

Major Function

The Digital and Cloud Integration Architect will play a key role in company's digital transformation journey by designing and implementing integration architectures that connect diverse systems across the enterprise. This role will be responsible for developing cloud strategies, overseeing API management, and ensuring secure, scalable, and resilient integrations between cloud services (e.g., Salesforce, SAP S/4HANA) and other business applications. The architect will lead the development of a robust digital ecosystem to support business growth, improve customer experience, and enable seamless data flow across applications and platforms.

Major Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain a comprehensive integration architecture that ensures seamless data flow and interoperability between cloud-based and on-premises systems, including Salesforce, SAP S/4HANA, and other core business applications.
• Define integration patterns and approaches (e.g., API-led, event-driven, ETL) based on company business requirements, ensuring scalability, security, and performance.
• Develop integration blueprints and reference architectures that guide the implementation of new integration use cases and streamline the connectivity of company digital systems.
• Develop and execute cloud adoption strategies, ensuring alignment with Company business and IT objectives. Guide the selection of appropriate cloud solutions and services that enhance business processes.
• Design and implement multi-cloud and hybrid cloud architectures, establishing best practices for cloud connectivity, security, and performance optimization.
• Provide technical leadership on cloud architecture, guiding the transition from legacy systems to cloud-native or hybrid environments, while ensuring compliance with Company governance policies.
• Oversee API management processes, including design, security, lifecycle management, and performance monitoring, ensuring high availability and scalability of all digital services.
• Develop and manage integration services (e.g., API Gateway, ESB, iPaaS), ensuring secure and reliable connectivity between internal and external systems.
• Establish a robust API governance framework, defining standards and policies that ensure consistency, reusability, and security of APIs and integration services across company.
• Architect and manage integrations between Salesforce, SAP S/4HANA, and other digital platforms, ensuring seamless customer and operational experiences across leasing, sales, finance, and HR.
• Drive integration initiatives that support company customer lifecycle management, enabling unified data views, automated workflows, and streamlined interactions across digital touchpoints.
• Enable digital process automation and orchestration by integrating diverse systems, ensuring optimal user experiences and efficient business workflows.
• Design integration architectures with security as a core principle, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements for data privacy and protection.
• Implement security practices for integration points, including API security, data encryption, and identity management, collaborating with security teams to maintain a secure digital ecosystem.
• Conduct regular security assessments of integration solutions and address vulnerabilities to mitigate risks related to data exposure, unauthorized access, or system disruptions.
• Lead data integration efforts, ensuring consistent data flow, synchronization, and transformation across systems to support business needs and enhance data quality.
• Implement data governance practices to ensure data integrity, compliance, and accessibility across integrated applications and platforms.
• Collaborate with data teams to optimize data pipelines, ensuring real-time or near-real-time data availability for analytics and reporting.

Key Competencies

• Integration Expertise: Proficiency in designing and implementing integration architectures, including API management, ESB, ETL, and data synchronization strategies.
• Cloud Architecture & Strategy: Deep understanding of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud), hybrid cloud environments, and cloud-native application design.
• Data Integration & Transformation: Skilled in data integration, ETL, and data transformation across diverse systems, with a focus on ensuring data quality and consistency.
• Security & Compliance: Strong knowledge of security best practices for APIs and integrations, including data encryption, OAuth, JWT, and regulatory compliance.
• Technical Leadership: Ability to communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders, aligning IT initiatives with business goals.
• Performance Monitoring & Optimization: Experience in setting up and managing integration monitoring tools and processes to ensure high performance and reliability.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field. A Master’s degree or relevant certifications (e.g., TOGAF, AWS Solutions Architect) is a plus.
• 10+ years of experience in IT architecture, with a strong focus on integration and cloud architecture, preferably in a digital or customer-centric environment.
• Proven experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud, as well as integration tools (e.g., MuleSoft, Dell Boomi, Apache Camel, Azure Logic Apps).
• Strong background in SAP S/4HANA and Salesforce integration, with hands-on experience in designing integrations for ERP and CRM platforms.
• Familiarity with API management platforms (e.g., Apigee, Kong, AWS API Gateway) and experience establishing API governance frameworks.
• Excellent problem-solving skills, with the ability to evaluate complex integration challenges and deliver effective solutions.
