Business Intelligence Analyst

Job Overview:

Our client is seeking a Business Intelligence (BI) Analyst to join their expanding team. This is a pivotal role in establishing the company’s first-ever BI program, offering significant growth opportunities and direct interaction with executive leadership. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in data warehousing, data visualization, and ETL processes, with experience working in operational environments such as manufacturing or transportation.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and develop data visualizations and dashboards using Sigma, Tableau, or Power BI to support business operations and KPIs.
• Collaborate closely with stakeholders across the organization to understand business needs and translate them into actionable insights.
• Extract, transform, and load (ETL) data from operational systems into Snowflake using Fivetran or similar ETL tools.
• Write complex SQL queries to manipulate and analyze data across multiple data sources.
• Ensure data accuracy, integrity, and consistency in all reporting and visualization efforts.
• Provide training and support to business users on data visualization tools and best practices.
• Identify and implement opportunities for process improvement and documentation within the BI framework.

Requirements:

• 3-5+ years of experience in Business Intelligence or Data Warehousing roles.
• Hands-on experience with Snowflake (or similar cloud-based data warehouses).
• Proficiency in ETL tools such as Fivetran or other data integration platforms.
• Strong expertise in SQL and relational database concepts.
• Data visualization experience using Sigma (preferred), Tableau, or Power BI.
• Experience working in Azure or AWS environments.
• Background in operations-heavy industries such as manufacturing or transportation.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse personalities.
• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field or 5+ years of equivalent professional experience.

Nice to Haves:

• Experience with process documentation and process improvement initiatives.
• Familiarity with Sigma for data visualization.
• Prior experience with AWS cloud infrastructure.
• Proven ability to work in a flat, collaborative organizational structure.
