About The Role
Bunnings is expanding its in-house software engineering team, which develops and maintains our digital platforms. We are currently seeking an Associate Developer to join our dynamic team
Reporting to the Lead Developer, this role is responsible for implementing and maintaining the frontend, middleware and backend products and services across our retail site in a cross functional team environment.
As An Associate Developer You Will
Our ideal candidate will have basic knowledge in modern software application frameworks, libraries and design patterns, along with basic knowledge in building core web development technologies.
You will be an effective communicator, enjoy working in a team environment, willing to continually learn new skills and share these amongst the team. Additionally, you will have the ability to work productively in a fast paced and agile environment.

About The Role

Reporting to the Lead Developer, this role is responsible for implementing and maintaining the frontend, middleware and backend products and services across our retail site in a cross functional team environment.
As An Associate Developer You Will
- Implement solutions using contemporary web technologies along with a variety of other programming languages and technologies.
- Follow agile software development practices such as test-driven development, continuous delivery and pair programming.
- Design, code, test and deploy the build and management of online products
- Support the implementation of the platform's technology strategy
- Contribute to a maintainable, high quality, and performant codebase
- Implement new features in a highly collaborative environment with product managers and engineers

You Will Additionally Have
- Bachelor’s degree in computer engineering or similar
- Basic knowledge in building core development technologies such as JavaScript, React, HTML, CSS, .NET and Flutter
- Basic knowledge in modern software application frameworks and libraries and design patterns
- Knowledge of software engineering best practices and virtualization technologies (e.g. Docker, Kubernetes, GitHub Actions etc.)
- Experience with Cloud providers (e.g. AWS, Azure, GCP etc.)
- Experience with relational and document-based databases and related ORM frameworks
