IT Administrator

We are looking for an IT Administrator to join our team.

As a IT Administrator at Breakwater you will:

• Manage user accounts, permissions and roles in cloud-based identity management systems (Microsoft Azure)
• Ensure secure access to systems and applications via Single Sign-On (SSO) and Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA)
• Manage onboarding and offboarding procedures
• Manage, maintain and secure endpoints (Windows, MacOS) using MDM tools such as Microsoft Intune and Mosyle
• Deploy and enforce device policies, software updates and security patches
• Provide end-user support through our service desk platform Freshservice, resolving technical issues and troubleshooting software, hardware and applications
• Administer cloud-based collaboration tools such as Google Workspace, Slack and Zoom
• Implement and enforce security policies and best practices for cloud systems, including access control, encryption and backup strategies
• Conduct regular audits to ensure compliance with organisational and regulatory standards
• Maintain an up-to-date inventory of cloud resources, software licenses and hardware assets
• Procure hardware, software and cloud subscriptions in alignment with budget and organisational needs
• Develop and manage scripts or automation workflows to streamline repetitive tasks (e.g. onboarding, backups and resource provisioning
• Continuously evaluate and improve system performance and operational efficiency

You'll be successful in this role if you have:

• 3+ years in a similar role
• Proficiency in cloud platforms (e.g Microsoft Azure, Google workspace)
• Experience with administration of MDM platforms (e.g. Intune, Mosyle)
• Experience with IT service management platforms (e.g. Freshservice, Atlassian)
• Experience with endpoint security, cloud collaboration tools (Google Workspace, Slack, Zoom), and IT security best practices
• Knowledge of asset management, procurement and automation workflows
• Proficiency in scripting languages (e.g. Powershell)
• Excellent English communication skills (written and spoken)
• Ability to work independently on projects while being a great team player
• Strong organizational and problem-solving abilities
• Relevant certifications (considered an advantage)
• Pre-existing skills on the above mentioned applications (considered an advantage)
• Familiarity managing monitoring tools (considered an advantage)
• Proactive security-based mindset (considered an advantage)
