Assignment Description

Tasks

As the Lead Engineer, you will primarily focus on the following areas and activities in Industrial Digitalization, Energy Management, and Process Information System projects:

• Acting as the technical lead in challenging cross-industry project deliveries
• Designing and implementing projects as a senior member of a project team, including acceptance testing and training
• Working with the Customer to understand their specific industry, environment, and needs, to tailor their ABB Ability system
• Striving to find new opportunities to extract more value from existing Customer environments with ABB Ability products
  
  

This role will require some traveling.

Requirements

To be considered for this position, we require B.Sc. or M.Sc. studies in IT, Process Automation, or equivalent level knowledge. It will be an advantage if you have experience working in industrial digitalization projects. To be successful in the role, it would be important to have the following skills and experiences:

• Customer-oriented team player with good communication skills and strong initiative
• Demonstrable ability to understand and manage various complex digital Customer environments from data collection to user interface
• Ability to manage data integration and migration projects
• Experience in Industrial Digitalization and/or Energy Management projects
• Good spoken and written skills in English
  
  

Additionally, We Appreciate The Following Skills And Experience

• Experience with the ABB Ability History product suite
• Understanding of real-time SQL databases & Windows software development (C#)
• Understanding of machine and web interfaces (REST, FTP, OPC, Modbus)
• Understanding of web-based user interface design
• Experience with reporting tools and related interfaces such as ODBC, OData
• Knowledge of industrial processes (power plants, metal industry, pulp & paper)
• Knowledge or interest in Industrial Energy Efficiency and Energy Economics
