Backend Game Developer

Game Path is working with a cutting-edge simulation racing development company based in Germany, dedicated to pushing the boundaries of realism and immersion in racing games. we are seeking a talented Backend Game Developer to join the team as they continue to scale throughout 2025.

The role is permanent and fully remote within Germany.

Responsibilities:

• Backend Development: Design, develop, and maintain server-side logic and infrastructure using Go, ensuring scalability, performance, and reliability.
• Game Logic Implementation: Collaborate with game designers to implement core game mechanics and features.
• Database Management: Develop and optimise database schema to ensure efficient data storage and retrieval.
• Networking and Multiplayer: Contribute to the development of stable and secure multiplayer systems.
• CI/CD Pipelines: Set up and manage Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment systems to streamline development processes.
• Collaboration: Work closely with frontend developers, designers, and QA teams to ensure cohesive project delivery.
• Documentation: Maintain detailed technical documentation and contribute to knowledge sharing within the team.

Requirements:

• Experience with database management systems (e.g., PostgreSQL).
• Proficiency in Go programming language.
• Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) is a plus.
• Knowledge of CI/CD tools (e.g., Jenkins, GitHub Actions).
• Understanding of software testing principles and practices.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a remote, distributed team environment.
• Self-motivated and able to manage your own workload effectively while meeting deadlines.
• A passion for simulation racing games and a desire to create immersive experiences for players.
