The Role:
As a Head of Artificial Intelligence, you will lead the development of robotic arms and systems for industrial automation. You’ll be responsible for overseeing multiple projects, coordinating teams, and ensuring the successful implementation of advanced robotic solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead robotics projects from concept to deployment, ensuring systems meet high performance standards.
- Oversee project timelines and resources, while coordinating the robotics team.
- Contribute hands-on to software and system development in areas like motion planning, computer vision, and simulation.
- Manage recruitment to fill key roles within the robotics team.
- Regular travel to China (2-3 times per year) and occasional trips to London and San Francisco.
Must-Have Qualifications:
- 5+ years of robotics experience, including leadership or senior technical roles.
- Proficiency in ROS 2, C++, Python, and robotic control systems.
- Expertise in motion planning, computer vision, and simulation.
- Experience in robotic arms and manipulators (not autonomous vehicles).
- A Ph.D. or advanced degree in robotics or a related field is preferred.
- Strong leadership skills and the ability to manage and coordinate teams.
Nice-to-Have Qualifications:
- Contributions to open-source robotics projects.
- Experience with 3D vision, sensor integration, and simulation tools.
- Expertise in AI integration for robotics and advanced sensor technologies.
