You will be a crucial part of the innovative VWDS team, helping to develop software. This opportunity is ideal for someone who is looking to take ownership of all development needs within our exciting future projects.

As Fullstack Developer you will have full coverage of the project lifecycle and you will work collaboratively with all team members and lead development efforts towards product vision and goals.

What You Will Be Doing

Develop/deploy/maintain microservices based on Java Spring and powered by React.
Working in the context of automotive, you will use DevOps principles to create, test and deploy backend solutions as well as internal tools using modern cloud infrastructure.
Identifying and addressing performance issues in software applications.
Actively contribute alongside the team to tech and architecture decisions in close alignment with the solution architect.
Works closely with business responsible assessing the feasibility of use cases during product discovery.
Drives the solution definition of complex use cases.
Technical reference for the logical domain within his product, being able to ramp up a project, deciding technologies and defining processes.
Structures work, provides direction, and clarifies what's expected of people's roles and accountabilities.
Build and effective team by providing clear guidance about the work as well as attracting, managing and developing people.
Mentors and engages team members towards team goals and timelines.
Support junior members of the team and support in the assessment of candidate technical skills.
Nurtures a positive environment to keep people hopeful, optimistic and intrinsically motivated and gives the team ownership and exposure.

What You Will Bring

Bachelor's degree in related field or comparable job experience.
Good English skills, both written and spoken.
Relevant experience in the conception and implementation of software solutions in an international context.
Solid experience with backend development with focus on RESTful APIs, event-driven architecture and integration.
Solid experience with Java / Spring Boot framework and React.
Experience with Docker and containerization.
Knowledge and understanding of cloud technologies.
Experience with CI/CD.
Desired to have also knowledge and experience with: Batch processing with Spring Batch, Kubernetes, ElasticSearch / ELK Stack, RabbitMQ, Testcontainers.
Proactivity and responsibility.
Great communication skills.
Feedback culture.
You are willing to work in a multicultural, interdisciplinary balanced product team.
Participate in other Tech Unit / VWDS initiatives and events (nice to have).
