Head of Glass Development

Your main tasks will include:

• Leading and mentoring the glass development team, ensuring continuous knowledge transfer, skill development, and fostering a culture of innovation.
• Overseeing and managing glass development projects, ensuring alignment with technical objectives, timelines, and business limitations.
• Analyzing and resolving technical challenges related to glass design and mold construction, ensuring optimal product performance and manufacturability.
• Supervising the tool inspection team, reviewing inspection reports, and ensuring compliance with quality standards.
• Reviewing and approving technical drawings to ensure accuracy and adherence to design specifications.
• Managing quality control processes and resolving issues related to glass development and production.
• Participating in product development meetings, working closely with R&D, production, and quality teams to drive continuous efficiency and effectiveness.

What we expect from our new employee:

• Expertise in glass development, with a strong technical understanding of materials and processes.
• A growth mindset, with a proactive approach to learning and improvement.
• At least three years of experience in a leadership role.
• Proven experience in the packaging glass development industry.
• A Bachelor’s degree or higher in Mechanical Engineering or a related technical field.
• Proficiency in 2D design software such as AutoCAD.
• Advanced skills in 3D modeling software such as Siemens NX.
• Strong flexibility, innovation, and systematic thinking in problem-solving.
• Excellent teamwork and collaboration skills, with the ability to work across departments.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel).
• Fluency in English, both written and spoken.
