About the Role:

As an insurance product manager, you will lead the strategy, roadmap, and execution of our insurance solutions. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams including engineering, marketing, sales and professional services, and design to ensure the delivery of solutions that meet both customer and business needs. You will play a key role in defining the vision for the product, gathering and prioritizing requirements, and guiding the team toward successful delivery.

Key Responsibilities:

• Product Strategy & Vision: Define the product vision and strategy in collaboration with leadership and stakeholders. Align product goals with company objectives and ensure a clear roadmap.
• Product Development: Work closely with engineering and design teams to develop new features, enhance existing ones, and deliver on time. Ensure that the product meets quality standards and customer needs.
• Stakeholder Management: Engage with key stakeholders (marketing, sales, customer support, etc.) to understand business requirements, customer feedback, and market trends. Prioritize features based on this input.
• Market Research: Conduct competitive analysis and customer research to identify market trends, user pain points, and growth opportunities.
• Data-Driven Decision Making: Utilize product analytics, customer feedback, and performance metrics to inform decisions and optimize product features and user experience.
• Agile Methodology: Lead product development using Agile methodologies, conducting sprint planning, backlog prioritization, and ensuring timely releases.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Foster strong collaboration between different teams to drive product success. Provide guidance on product design, usability, and market fit.
• Product Launches: Plan and execute product launches, ensuring smooth rollouts and effective communication to all stakeholders.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Business, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
• 3+ years of experience as a Product Manager or Head of Underwriting in an insurance company
• Strong understanding of software development processes and Agile methodologies.
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, with a data-driven approach to decision-making.
• Proven ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects with a focus on outcomes.
• Experience working closely with cross-functional teams, especially engineering and design.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills; ability to convey complex ideas clearly and persuasively.
• Familiarity with product management tools (e.g., JIRA, Asana, ProductBoard, etc.) is a plus.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and adapt to changing priorities.
