Senior Business Analyst/Product Owner

Avenga is looking for a skilled Senior Business Analyst/Product Owner to join our team full-time. Our client is a leading multi-national lottery operator with a market-leading presence in Austria, the Czech Republic, Greece, Cyprus, and Italy. They build better lotteries that return more to good causes by focusing on innovation, technology, efficiency, and safety across a growing casual gaming entertainment portfolio. As a Senior Business Analyst/Product Owner, you will drive strategic business initiatives by analyzing complex business processes, eliciting requirements, and translating them into actionable solutions. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to facilitate change, optimize processes, and ensure our business solutions meet both operational and strategic goals.

Requirements:

• 5+ years of experience in BA/Product-related positions
• 2 years of working on software development projects in an agile requirements analysis role
• Competent in Jira / Confluence
• Proficient user of BPM
• Experience in working on multiple and varied large-scale projects, delivering a variety of software applications
• Talented at interacting with multiple stakeholders, including C level
• Experience in working on multiple and varied large-scale projects, delivering a variety of software applications
• Solid knowledge in software architectures and processes related to software delivery
• Successful practical experience in establishing and complying to the change management process
• Proven ability to work within teams using a variety of software development methods, including product development using agile software delivery methods
• Confident in designing solutions/ business processes/ operating models
• Ability to work from a high-level brief without supervision
• English ­ – Upper - Intermediate

Nice to have:

• A degree in a CS or Computer Engineering discipline or equivalent
• Experience in web and mobile applications

Responsibilities:

• Work closely with key roles such as Tech Leads and Delivery Managers to ensure requirements clarity and technical excellence
• Develop scope documents and define Epics/User Stories that guide our CLS Software Development teams
• Assess value, develop cases, and prioritize stories, epics, and themes to ensure work focuses on those with maximum value that are aligned with product strategy
• Define priorities for short-term delivery within sprints and also for longer-term delivery along with product Managers and stakeholders
• Develop appropriately detailed specifications for product features so that they are clearly understood by the development team
• Develop and maintain an appropriately prioritized backlog of user stories for implementation
• Ensure effective coordination, establish feedback loops, and enable overall orchestration among various teams, stakeholders, and customers
• Run refinement sessions with the development teams in order to articulate delivery goals, provide details, and refine stories. Additionally, capture user story estimations from the team during such sessions
• Run iteration reviews or demo sessions with the help of QA engineers in order to present the iteration deliverables to stakeholders and receive feedback.
