Desktop Support Engineer – 3-6 months contract, Linz, Austria

We are seeking a Desktop Support Engineer to join our team in Linz, Austria. This role is onsite and end-user facing, requiring strong technical expertise and customer service skills. The ideal candidate will be local, highly fluent in German, and open to travel within Austria when required.

About The Role

• Technical Support & Troubleshooting: Manage laptops, desktops, printers, and scanners to ensure seamless end-user operations.
• Active Directory & Office 365 Management: Handle user access, security policies, and configurations within AD, Office 365, SCCM/Intune.
• System & Change Management: Coordinate changes with local and international suppliers while performing system maintenance and improvements.
• Process Improvement: Identify and implement enhancements to existing workflows for efficiency and security.
• Teams Telephony Management: Maintain and support the Microsoft Teams telephony system for uninterrupted collaboration.
• Project Participation: Engage in technical projects as both a consultant and an execution specialist.
• Operational Maintenance: Carry out recurring system checks and security-driven tasks using predefined scripts.
  
  

About You

To thrive in this role, you should have:

• Strong troubleshooting & problem-solving skills in an EUC environment
• Experience with Active Directory, Office 365, SCCM/Intune
• Knowledge of IT security principles & operational maintenance
• Strong time management, adaptability, and customer service skills
• Excellent communication, rapport building and internal customer service skills.
• Fluent German (spoken & written) – Essential
