Internship - venture development climate & circularity

We are looking for Interns in Amsterdam who will collaborate with our experienced team to help create and grow new ventures within the GreenTech sector. If you are currently studying in a relevant field such as novel materials, chemical & process engineering, advanced (bio)chemistry, applied physics or (sustainable) energy we would love to hear from you!

The world needs innovations to reach net-zero and circularity, but a wealth of research inventions never get used at scale. As a venture development intern, you will work alongside our experienced venture partners and developers turning promising DeepTech into successful startups that tackle the world’s climate and circularity challenges.

Your activities include:

• Sourcing inventions by performing desk based searches on patents, projects and licence offers, supporting our outreach to universities and researchers, and helping the team to prepare for events
• Supporting the selection of promising inventions via our structured process, by gathering technical, impact and market input via desk based research and supporting or conducting interviews with experts, investors and industry players
• Providing hands-on support in other phases of our process, for example when we are recruiting and onboarding a team for the new venture
• Assisting with coordinating the process from sourcing to onboarding for the inventions you are working on and keeping invention and progress data up to date
• As part of all this, learning about entrepreneurship, venture building and how this fits you, while getting involved in the many opportunities to develop our organisation

Your profile

• You want to make a positive impact and believe in the power of technology
• You are on your way to a scientific/technology degree at Masters level (or equivalent) in a relevant field such as novel materials, chemical & process engineering, advanced (bio)chemistry, applied physics or (sustainable) energy
• You enjoy the puzzle as well as the human side of venture building, you are a positive, open and outgoing personality
• You are hands-on, a self-starter with a follow-through mentality, entrepreneurial and eager to learn, you combine sensibility with guts, you take ownership and thrive on collaboration, you enjoy discovering and developing your talents
• You are fluent in English (spoken and written), as we contact people all over Europe and beyond
• You live in or within commuting distance from Amsterdam, so you can collaborate with the team in our office
