Sellick Partnership are working with a fantastic client who are looking for a highly motivated SSoftware Developer to join their dynamic development team. The primary focus of this role is to work with PHP/Laravel and SQL. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing, maintaining and enhancing our web-based applications. They are looking for someone who is enthusiastic, collaborative, and keen to learn and grow.

Key Responsibilities

  • Writing well-designed, efficient, and high-quality code in PHP/Laravel
  • Collaborate with other team members and stakeholders to ensure product objectives are met in a timely manner
  • Participating in the Agile/Scrum methodologies to ensure that the development process is streamlined, and requirements are met
  • Ensuring code is clean, maintainable and understandable by other developers
  • Investigating and resolving technical issues in the application
  • Contributing to the documentation of the project

Requirements

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience working with PHP/Laravel & SQL
  • Proficient in HTML, CSS, and JavaScript
  • Knowledge of database structures, querying, and best practices
  • Experience working with RESTful API's
  • Understanding of Agile/Scrum methodologies and the software development lifecycle
  • Strong problem-solving skills with a focus on delivering high-quality code
  • Ability to work effectively in a team and to collaborate with developers and other departments on projects
  • Excellent communication skills

Advantageous Experience

  • React
  • Testing frameworks (e..g. PHPUnit, E2E)
  • DevOps
  • Hosting Administration (Digital Ocean, AWS etc)
  • Other Web Platforms/Services
